Why should I insulate? see list or skip to the really great reasons at the bottom of the page
There are many really good reasons why:
- You save more of the heat in your home which is expensive to create
- You get lower fuel bills because you use less fuel.
- You can get a grant “at this time ”
to pay for most of the works actual real costs which is considerably more.
- You reduce your properties carbon footprint by reducing the amount of CO2 you create.
- In the near future you could have to pay extra taxes or penalty's for creating unnecessary CO2.
- Your central boiler doesn't have to work overtime to keep up
- You probably hate waste especialy if you have had to pay heavily for it
- Your very shrewd with money.
- Your property will have a better Energy Rating with any Energy Performance Certificate.
- Makes your property easier to sell or rent out
- will increase your property value and selling potential
- You will make the property more comfortable to live in

- Every body wins!
A USEFUL THOUGHT: Houses can lose approx 35% of their heat through the walls
They lose 25% through the roof so just these two areas alone account for 60% of the the heat loss in a uninsulated home!
Sometimes people say “yes I've been meaning to do something about this and I will later on in the year” . Many have been saying this or thinking this for several years! one chap said he had meant to do something about for the last 20 years (the Manyana effect or to spell it properly the Mañana effect) ( So when is the best time to start saving money? )
However if you had a car that either leaked or wasted 60% of all the fuel you put into it or to put it another way for every £100 of fuel you put into it, £60 was wasted. When would you get it fixed?
We think that even if you didn't have the money, at that time you would beg borrow or steal it, to make sure it was sorted immediately.
Your car would also be breaking the law if it exceeded the very limited limits of CO2 emmisions, and if it was over you would be heavily fined or imprisoned if you carried on using it!
How much longer before houses have the same limits put on them. the Government has done all it can to help and encourage people to ACT ON CO2. We do it all for you.
Even the process is simple usually one sheet of paper that the surveyor fills in for you, most of this is a rough sketch plan, of your houses sizes so the installation company knows where to come and what materials to bring.
Most people can tell you roughly how much they paid out for their car fuel last week but they could not tell you how much they've pay for their fuel for their house!
Mainly because like death and taxes it has to be paid even if you lose your job or are on short time, so they just let the direct debit take care of it.
Some people will spend a great deal of time checking the best deals for their money or savings. They take advantage of anything that saves or makes them a few
pounds.
If your Bank Manager offered you a chance to pay a couple of hundred pounds as an investment and for it you would get back up to *£365 per year and you would get this every year for life you would probably see this as a great investment in the future. But you would probably have to join a queue that stretched for miles just to sign up. Yet that is what can be the case with better insulation!
Lastly if your Utility Company said you would have to pay £365 per year more than your next door neighbour for your fuel bills. You would say that's not fair and you would want something done about it, and today!
well if you are not insulated and your neighbour is, thats exactly what is happening.
