What does it cost ?
The price for a home that is considered a standard job is only £149-00
Prices can fluctuate very quickly with anything to do with Insulation Grants or Subsidies, putting something off for even a week might cost a great deal of money.
We offer the cheapest insulation & best deals in the UK
The last time we were able to offer insulation for only £99-00 a gentleman said he would leave it for a month or so, and so never took advantage of the offer. He did call back about 6 weeks later to go ahead with his installation, I had to explain that the price had gone up 5 times since we had last spoke to £269. ( had he taken the offer at the time his price would have been fixed, regardless of any later increases and as you only pay afterwards and you can cancel at anytime he could not have lost out)
The costs charged can vary across the different companies for example British Gas charge £250 for a cavity wall installation and £274 for a loft and that is with a level of subsidy!
most companies charge about £199 for a loft we are able to do them for as little as £149 depending on the area and the property. This would be determinded with a simple and quick survey.
When do I Pay most companies that do the installation work only want paying after the work is done so there is no risk to you.
What does a survey cost = Nothing! for one survey and quote. A Cavity Wall survey takes about 20 minutes and is all done from the outside so you can carry on about your business inside until the Surveyor has completed everything so it does not take up your valuable time. The Surveyors from Energy Checkers are always very busy and will have other appointments to go to so they won't detain you any more then is required.
They dont even have to spend time convincing you or explaining it after checking out this site and possibly others you will be sure we are the answer to your energy solutions.
Our surveyors can only call once for free. Their time and travel expenses are costly and if they had to make several free visits it would not be practical and would not value other peoples time.
Is the Quote binding: A telephone quote would always be subject to an actual survey but, Probably 95% of the time the surveyors quote would be the same as might already be estimated and given over the phone from the information you have supplied.
(The surveyed quote is always honoured even if it should have been much more we have to pay for any mistakes that could be made, so it always benefits you)
Why would there be a difference?
It could depend on the size of the house usually the max inclusive meterage rates are very generous and covers most houses, however some houses are quite a bit bigger and therefore exceed these generous limits.
If they exceed the limits it does not mean that the property cannot be done but what will be the case is that for every metre over the set limits a small charge is incurred too cover the extra work.
ie if the property was 10 Metres over, the usual charge might be £5 per mt so it would be the standard charge plus 10x £5=£50 extra.
some properties require scaffolding or conservatory ladders this may also incurr a charge.
and lastly if the property requires a core vent which might be required for Health & Safety reasons. ie, if you have a heavy duty fire ie over 7KW or such as a back boiler or Baxi type, proper ventilation is essential for safety reasons.
