I didn't think I could have it done!

Some properties have solid walls so without a cavity this would be true!

Some properties not that many have narrow cavities and again cannot be done.

Some have a wall that has very little distance between the neighbouring property and one wall of the house it may be able to be side lanced ie along the cavity instead of in front, but best practice means that this method is normally only used when filling up to 1mtr in.

it's not the end of the world though it is possible to have a wall excluded from the guarantee scheme which is still much better than leaving all the other walls and always having a totally cold house.

in the same way that a pair of semis are excluded from each other when they share the same cavity a method known as brushing off is used, this is where a hole is drilled top and bottom of a wall then a chain is dropped down and fished out, this enables a nylon brush to be pulled into position and left. it is similar to a big bottle brush this stops any material from migrating out of the area it was intended for.

difficult conservatories or obstructions can also be excluded which at least means that the rest of the house can still be insulated.

There will always be some difficult properties but very often we can find solutions to the problems these cause; albeit if if costs a bit more to take into account the extra work involved.

We can normally do a 5 bedroom house within the the price range but if your house is bigger its not a problem it will just cost you a little more. We can't be fairer than that and remember people with big houses have big fuel bills!

Brushing off work does not normally attract extra charges and is done as standard on a daily basis.
